Sugar beet BTS 9975

Stable yields and reliable disease protection

When selecting a sugar beet hybrid for fields with high infection pressure, "BTS 9975" from the American breeder Betaseed proves to be one of the most predictable tools.

Field performance and harvesting

This hybrid belongs to the high-yield (E) type, which in practice means an excellent balance between root weight and sugar content. The root shape is broad-conical, which is critical for mechanized harvesting: the beets are easily extracted from the soil, suffer less damage from combine conveyors, and therefore retain a marketable appearance and resist rot during pile storage.

• Sugar content: consistently stays within the 16-17% range.
• Resistance: powerful immunity against Fusarium rot.
• Efficiency: low tendency to accumulate soil in root grooves due to its shape.

It responds excellently to standard fertilization schemes, avoiding excessive foliage growth and directing growth energy specifically into the root. This significantly simplifies logistics and primary processing at the sugar plant. Ultimately, the result is a clean, healthy harvest that translates into profit rather than expenses on endless crop treatments.
