BTS SMART 9635

BTS SMART 9635 — sugar beet hybrid, registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine since 2022. This variety is characterized by high resistance to cercospora, providing protection against one of the most prevalent diseases of sugar beet. In addition, BTS SMART 9635 exhibits moderate resistance to fusarium, powdery mildew, and rust, as well as enhanced resistance to afanomyces and rust, which contributes to stable yields and reduced losses under unfavorable growing conditions.

Plants of this hybrid have medium height and are recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and North Caucasus regions. BTS SMART 9635 demonstrates normal yield with high potential, averaging 51.9 tons per hectare in the Central Chernozem region and 57.2 tons per hectare in the North Caucasus region. Sugar content in the roots is 17.8% and 17.1% respectively, making this variety attractive for industrial sugar production.

The hybrid exhibits moderate resistance to root rots, but is susceptible to root maggots, requiring attention during agronomic practices. BTS SMART 9635 is recommended for agricultural use, ensuring a stable and high-quality sugar beet harvest when proper care and agronomic standards are followed.
