Sugar beet BTS SMART 9175

Genetic Potential by Betaseed: BTS SMART 9175

American breeding by Betaseed has long been synonymous with high productivity in sugar beet production. The BTS SMART 9175 model is a triploid hybrid developed under the leadership of Margaret Rekoske. This solution is specifically tailored for farms utilizing modern, intensive cultivation technologies, aiming to mitigate risks associated with high field disease pressure.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

This hybrid belongs to the NZ type (Normal-Sugar), making it a versatile tool for achieving consistent sugar yield under standard harvest conditions. The hybrid's strength lies in its comprehensive protection against common pathogens:

• High tolerance to Cercospora leaf spot, which is critical in regions with high humidity and temperature.
• Robust immunity against powdery mildew and various types of root rot.
• Specific resistance to common scab and Fusarium, allowing for successful use in fields with a long history of intensive sugar beet cultivation.

Choosing BTS SMART 9175 is an investment in biological crop insurance. As the originator and patent holder is Betaseed itself, growers receive a product with a precisely calibrated genetic profile, ensuring uniform field emergence and predictable growth rates.

The hybrid adapts well to various soil types, reaching its maximum potential when adhering to mineral nutrition protocols. This American-bred variety focuses not only on root weight and sugar content but also on harvest efficiency, minimizing post-harvest losses per hectare.
