DescriptionTAŞEBINSKAYA
Sudan grass – an annual cereal crop grown as a forage. It has a mild taste and pleasant aroma, making it attractive to cows, horses, sheep, and other animals.
The green mass contains a large amount of nutrients: sugar, proteins, ash, vitamins, and minerals. Thanks to its high yield (6.8–9.7 tons/ha of hay) and ability to regrow 4–5 times during the vegetation period, Sudan grass is a universal forage crop.
Sudan grass is used to produce green forage, hay, and silage. In one summer, up to five cuts can be made, and more than 1000 centners of grass can be collected from one hectare. It also serves as a cover crop for alfalfa and helps improve saline soils.
