Sudan grass CHEROMORKA

Technological profile of Sudan grass «Chernomorka»

This Sudan grass variety is the result of extensive breeding efforts by major research institutes. The core challenge addressed during the development of «Chernomorka» was to stabilize yield under water-deficit conditions while maintaining rapid growth rates. The variety demonstrates high adaptability, making it a reliable tool for professional fodder production.

Biological resistance and phytosanitary control

A critical engineering feature of this variety is its genetically fixed resistance to bacteriosis. In practical terms, this minimizes the risk of leaf tissue degradation, which is key for maintaining high nutrient content. Disease resistance allows for a reduction in pesticide application, ensuring a cleaner feed supply for livestock operations.

Operational parameters in fodder production

• Green fodder: Rapid regrowth after mowing makes it an excellent component for continuous green feed supply chains.
• Silage: Consistent biomass accumulation ensures effective compaction in silos, which is vital for fermentation and preventing fungal spoilage.
• Hay: The fine-stemmed structure facilitates faster moisture loss during drying, reducing the operational cycle of hay production and lowering the risk of weather-related losses.

The technological value of «Chernomorka» lies in the balance between total biomass yield and protein quality. By adhering to agricultural protocols, producers can expect consistent outputs, facilitating accurate planning for winter feed requirements.
