Description Selena
Beetroot variety 'Selena' is a nutritious and valuable root crop widely used in animal husbandry for feeding livestock. This vegetable is rich in vitamins and microelements that contribute to improved animal health and productivity. Beet seeds can be purchased both wholesale and retail, with guaranteed high product quality and affordable pricing. Growing beetroot ensures animals receive a tasty and beneficial feed, making this variety popular among farmers and agricultural producers. Beetroot is a warm-season crop, with an optimal growth temperature of around +15°C, although germination begins at +5°C. Seedlings are sensitive to frost below -3°C, which may cause their death. Adequate moisture is necessary for successful cultivation, with a minimum rainfall of 500 mm. The best soils for beetroot are chernozems and loams with neutral to slightly acidic reaction (pH 6.5–7.5). Seeds are sown in wide rows with 50–60 cm spacing, at a rate of 15–20 kg per hectare. 'Selena' variety features cylindrical roots with yellow-orange coloring, which are approximately 40% buried in the soil. The roots have a smooth surface and juicy white flesh, ensuring good storage longevity. Yield of this variety reaches 1000–1200 centners per hectare. Seeds undergo pre-sowing treatment and meet state quality standards, guaranteeing high germination rates and reliable planting success.
