Yasochka

Yasochka is a winter soft wheat variety developed by crossing RM Lutecens 147 with the variety Napivkarlik 3. It is characterized by high productivity, winter hardiness, drought resistance, and resistance to diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, septoria, fusarium of the head, and root rots. The grain contains 27–32% gluten and 13.5–14.0% protein, ensuring grain quality not lower than the third class. The gluten deformation index (IDK) is 80 units, indicating high flour quality. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine.

Soybean, to which the variety Yasochka belongs, is one of the most profitable crops and an excellent predecessor for many agricultural crops, especially winter wheat. Thanks to its ability to fix biological nitrogen via symbiotic bacteria, soy improves soil fertility, fixing 80–120 kg of nitrogen per hectare. This is especially important under current conditions of mineral fertilizer shortages. Growing soy increases the yield and quality of subsequent crops, as evidenced by a 3–6 centner/ha increase in winter wheat yield.
