Sunflower MAS 85SU is a mid-season linoleic-type hybrid with a vegetative period ranging from 105 to 114 days, enabling it to successfully adapt to various soil-climate conditions, including the Polissia and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. The plants are tall with strong stems, and the heads are large, convex or tilted, which contributes to effective yield formation. The hybrid demonstrates good drought, lodging, and seed shattering resistance, enhancing harvest stability and quality.
MAS 85SU has a high yield potential, reaching 49-51 centners per hectare, and contains oil in the range of 50-53%, making it attractive for linoleic oil production. The seeds have a 1000-seed mass of 52-58 grams, indicating high-quality planting material. The recommended planting density at harvest is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, and each package contains 150,000 seeds sufficient for 2.2-2.5 hectares. Seed treatments include AGROSTART and PONCHO D150, and the cultivation technology includes the herbicide Granstar Express, to which the hybrid shows tolerance.
