Description OAC Brooke
OAC Brooke soybean variety is a short-season mid-oleic type, recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. This variety is characterized by high yield, averaging 15.2 centners per hectare in the steppe zone, 21.8 centners per hectare in the forest-steppe, and 21.1 centners per hectare in the Polissia. Due to its adaptability and plasticity, OAC Brooke successfully copes with diverse climatic conditions and ensures stable yields.

One of the key features of this variety is its high resistance to adverse factors: drought, lodging, and shattering. Additionally, OAC Brooke exhibits resistance to several common soybean diseases, such as downy mildew, bacterial blight, ascochitosis, septoria, and fusarium, which significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and improves grain quality.

For optimal cultivation, it is recommended to maintain a planting density of 650-700 thousand seeds per hectare and use planters with row spacing from 12.5 to 45 cm. Seed inoculation with nitrogen-fixing bacteria prior to planting is advised to enhance plant nutrition and increase yield. The height of the plants is 80-95 cm, and the height of the lower pod attachment is 15-17 cm, which facilitates care and harvest.
