Sunflower MAS 86OL is a high-oleic mid-season hybrid developed in France and produced in Ukraine. It is distinguished by its high oleic acid content in oil — from 84 to 89% — making it particularly valuable for producing high-quality oil. The oil content in seeds ranges from 49–52%, and the oleic acid yield reaches 86%. The hybrid is suitable for planting at a rate of 50–65 thousand plants per hectare, depending on moisture conditions, ensuring optimal yield and profitability.
MAS 86OL plants have medium height and flat flower heads, with a vegetation period of 114–118 days. The hybrid is adapted to various soil-climatic conditions, including steppe and forest-steppe zones, and demonstrates high drought and lodging resistance. Due to its resilience, the sunflower successfully resists common diseases such as gray mold of heads and stems, powdery mildew, Phomopsis, and Phoma, as well as resistance to race A, B, C, D, and E of downy mildew.
MAS 86OL seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 seeds, sufficient for planting on an area of 2.2–2.5 hectares. High yield, reaching 35 centners per hectare, and the hybrid's stability make it one of the leaders among high-oleic sunflowers, widely used in agribusiness. This hybrid ensures profitable cultivation and is an optimal choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and profitable yields.
