Description ULALA
Sea buckthorn 'Ulala' is a fruit-bearing shrub or tree up to 2–3 m in height with a dense, medium-density crown and thornless branches. The fruits are oval, red‑orange berries, slightly ribbed, weighing from 0.7 g to 0.8 g, with a sour-sweet taste and a pleasant aroma. The ripening period is in autumn – from late August to early September, allowing for a month-long harvest.

The variety is characterized by a high content of beneficial substances: oil reaches 5–8 %, carotenoids – 27‑35 mg/100 g, vitamin C – from 75 to 197 mg/100 g. These indicators make the berries a valuable ingredient for both fresh consumption and for making jams, preserves, compotes, puddings, pastes, beverages, and dried products.

Agrotechnical characteristics of 'Ulala' allow for its use in garden and vegetable farming. Yield reaches 10–15 kg per plant (or up to 47 c/ha), and its self-incompatible nature facilitates planting, although pollination can be ensured by male varieties if desired. The plant is resistant to low temperatures and most pests and diseases of the *Ribes* genus, including powdery mildew, gall midge, and sea buckthorn fly. With proper care – regular watering, drainage, sanitary pruning, and moderate fertilization – the yield remains of high quality.

Growing conditions are simple: the plant prefers full sun, fertile, moist soil with neutral pH. For planting, a hole with drainage of gravel or pebbles and a layer of humus, peat, and sand in a ratio of 2:1:1:1 is recommended. Watering once a week – 10 liters for an adult plant, 5 liters for a young plant; pruning should be done in early spring or late autumn, removing old shoots.

Thus, 'Ulala' is a universal sea buckthorn variety with a high content of beneficial substances, good yield, and simple care requirements, making it attractive for both commercial production and home gardening.
