Aborigen – an early-ripening raspberry variety belonging to the selection of V.V. Kichini. The berries of this variety are large and numerous: average weight 6–8 grams, cone-shaped, dense, light red in color with small seeds. They have an acid-sweet taste and a light aroma.
The Aborigen bushes are wide and powerful, 1.5–2 m high, thornless, which makes them convenient for growing in gardens and orchards. In the first year, the plants have smooth, thick shoots, while in the second year they are covered with light brown bark, which peels off. The variety consistently yields about 4 kg of berries per bush; with proper care, one bush can produce up to 7 kg.
Raspberry Aborigen is distinguished by its resistance to diseases and pests, as well as good regenerative ability – it quickly restores lost mass in the spring. Berries retain their attractive appearance during transportation, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and canning.
For planting, spring or autumn is recommended when the soil is moist. Optimal care includes watering, fertilizing, pruning, and mulching, providing the plant with favorable conditions for growth and development.
