Crown Prince pumpkin is an early, high-yielding hybrid of grey-pumpkin with a 95-105 day growth period from sowing. The plant is powerful, of trailing type with indeterminate vines up to 6 meters long, which ensure good fruiting and fruit protection. Fruits are flat-round, medium-sized, weighing 3-4 kg, with weak ribbing and a grey-blue skin with a waxy bloom. The plant shows general resistance to main diseases of cucurbit crops, contributing to stable and high yields. Crown Prince fruits have a thin but strong skin, allowing them not to be peeled before culinary processing. The seed cavity is small, without cavities, minimizing waste during processing as all the internal space of the fruit is filled with dense, rich orange and very sweet pulp. Thanks to these qualities, pumpkin is excellent both for fresh consumption and for processing. It is recommended to leave 3-4 fruits on one plant for an optimal yield. The hybrid differs in high yield, exceeding 70 tons per hectare, making it more profitable compared to ordinary varieties. Crown Prince pumpkin has excellent keeping qualities and can be stored under ordinary conditions for up to 8 months without loss of quality. This makes it convenient for long-term storage and use for various culinary purposes throughout the season.
