The plant is vigorous, forming large, roundish-flattened fruits of bright orange color with evenly segmented surface. Average fruit weight varies from 3 to 8 kg, depending on growing conditions. The fruit rind is dense but does not harden quickly, facilitating handling and use.
The flesh is bright orange, dense, and very aromatic, with high sugar content — over 10%. Due to this, the variety is distinguished by excellent taste qualities and versatility in cooking. Musque De Provance pumpkin is widely used for making purees, juices, concentrates, as well as various desserts such as puddings, cakes, pastries, and candied fruits. Fruits keep well during winter, allowing their use for an extended period after harvest.
