MUSCADE AGRO

Muscade Agro pumpkin is a mid-season musk pumpkin variety developed by domestic breeders of the 'Poisk' agrofirm. The plant is vining and intended for cultivation in open garden areas. Harvest ripens 125-130 days after seedling emergence, with fruit collection conducted from August to mid-September. The variety is characterized by good drought resistance, high marketability, and excellent transportability, making it convenient for cultivation and marketing.

Muscade Agro fruits have a flattened-round shape with a convex-segmented surface and reddish-orange skin, which changes color from dark green to rich red-orange upon ripening. Fruit weight varies from 2.6 to 4 kg. The flesh is bright orange, dense, crisp, juicy, and aromatic, with a buttery texture. It is distinguished by high sugar content—up to 11.5%, and carotene—up to 30 mg per 100 g of flesh, giving it a rich dessert flavor. The seeds are cream-colored.

Pumpkin flesh is versatile in application: it can be consumed raw, cut into slices or grated and served with sour cream. In cooking, it is used to prepare cream soups, side dishes, sweet porridges, pancakes, desserts, jams, marmalades, and compotes. Fruits can also be baked with honey and nuts, fried in batter, processed into juices and purees suitable for baby food. Pumpkins are caned in pieces, frozen, dried, and sun-dried. Thanks to the long storage period, fruits retain freshness throughout the winter.
