PRINCE OF DENMARK

The watermelon «Prince of Denmark» is an early-maturing hybrid that ripens in 75-80 days and is suitable for growing in open ground and under plastic covers. The plant is semi-vining, which facilitates care and harvest collection. The fruits have an elongated-oval or elliptical shape with green skin adorned with faintly expressed blurred dark green stripes. The mass of one watermelon ranges from 4 to 6 kg, and the rind is of medium thickness but sufficiently robust, ensuring good preservation of fruits during transportation.

The watermelon flesh is bright red with a raspberry hue, has a granular structure, and medium density. It is distinguished by a delicate sweet taste with a total sugar content level of 8-9%, making this variety particularly attractive for fresh consumption. The seeds are small and brown. Due to its taste qualities, the watermelon «Prince of Denmark» is an excellent dessert.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield — from one plant, you can obtain from 15 to 17 kg of fruits, which corresponds to approximately 2.8 kg per square meter. Moreover, the variety is valued for synchronous ripening and rapid early harvest yield. The fruits are well transported and maintain their market qualities for 30 days after harvest, making them convenient for sale and long-term storage.
