The 'Ukrainian Multifruit' pumpkin variety is an early-maturing and versatile type with a vegetation period ranging from 85 to 109 days, allowing cultivation across all climatic zones of Ukraine. The plant is robust with long stems and dense foliage, which effectively protects the fruits from sunburn. The variety exhibits high drought resistance and resistance to powdery mildew, grows well in loose and moist soils, and positively responds to fertilization. Yield reaches 300–450 centners per hectare, and fruits ripen uniformly, facilitating harvest.
Fruits have an oval-round or short-oval shape with a weight ranging from 5 to 12 kg. The skin is smooth, thin, and firm, colored yellow-green or orange with broad green stripes. The flesh is light-orange, medium-thick up to 5 cm, crisp, juicy, and very sweet with a pleasant aroma. It is rich in starch, sugar, vitamins, fiber, pectin, and carotene, making the pumpkin not only delicious but also nutritious. Sugar content in the fruits is 5–6%, ascorbic acid 25–28 mg%, and carotene 2.1–3.2 mg per 100 g.
The 'Ukrainian Multifruit' variety is valued for its excellent taste and versatility. Pumpkins are used in culinary applications for various dishes, as well as for processing into juice, puree, or freezing. Fruits store well and withstand long-distance transportation without losing their properties when kept in dry and cool conditions for several months. Additionally, seeds of this variety are used for oil production and medicinal purposes. Regular consumption of pumpkin promotes improved digestion, detoxification of the body, and maintenance of water balance.
