Honey Fairy Tale is a mid-season pumpkin variety with a vegetation period of 110-115 days, characterized by a powerful sprawling plant and round-ovoid fruits weighing from 3 to 5 kg. The fruit skin is thin, leathery, rich orange in color with a light marbling and waxy bloom. The flesh is bright yellow, dense, juicy, and crunchy, distinguished by its high sugar and carotene content, which gives it an especially sweet, honeyed taste and makes the variety indispensable for children's and dietary foods. The seed cavity in the fruits is small, the seeds are cream-colored, and the taste of the fruits is considered excellent.
The variety is characterized by high yield - up to 7-8 kg per square meter, while the average yield is 2.1-2.5 kg/sq.m. The plant is resistant to the main diseases of cucurbit crops, including powdery mildew and bacterial infection, and also possesses high drought resistance. Thanks to good storability and a storage period of up to 100-120 days at a temperature of +5 to +12 degrees, the fruits retain their taste qualities and market appearance for a long time.
Growing Honey Fairy Tale is possible both through seedlings and by sowing directly into open ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in April, and transplanting seedlings - in May-June. When sowing seeds directly into the ground, the optimal time is late May-June, with a sowing depth of 3-4 cm and a planting scheme of 100x150 cm. The plant prefers sunny locations and is suitable for growing in various climatic zones. Thanks to its versatile purpose, the fruits are well suited for fresh consumption as well as for processing into juices and purees.
