Zelenii Gai

The potato variety "Green Bay" is an early-maturing table variety recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine. The vegetation period is approximately 97-100 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. The variety was registered in 2009 and belongs to the officially approved varieties, confirming its adaptation to the climatic and soil conditions of the region.

The tubers have a round shape and average weight ranging from 64 to 90 grams. They possess high marketability and excellent taste qualities. Starch content in the tubers is at a medium level — 17-18% — making the potato versatile for various cooking methods. The flesh has good fluffiness, enabling the preparation of delicious mashed potatoes, and when fried, the tubers retain their shape and appealing appearance.

The variety is characterized by high yield potential — ranging from 26 to 40 tons per hectare. It is resistant to major potato diseases and tolerates summer heat well, ensuring stable fruiting.
