CAYMAN potato variety is a high-yielding mid-late maturing variety with a vegetation period of 125 to 140 days. Tubers have a round-oval shape, medium size, and yellow skin and flesh. Dry matter content in tubers reaches 21.6%, making this variety versatile for various cooking methods, including boiling, baking, home fries, and chip production. Due to its high marketability, ranging from 90 to 110 centners per hectare, this variety is popular among growers.

CAYMAN is distinguished by high resistance to adverse conditions such as heat and drought, allowing cultivation in various climatic zones, including tropics. The variety exhibits high resistance to late blight of leaves and tubers, scab, common rust, and various nematode races (Ro1, Ro2, Ro3, Ro4, Ra2). Additionally, it is insensitive to the herbicide metribuzin and shows increased resistance to blue mold. Despite low resistance to PVYn virus, the variety demonstrates high resistance to the PVYntn strain.

The CAYMAN variety is characterized by rapid germination and a prolonged dormancy period of tubers.
