MARISOL

The Marisol potato variety belongs to very early and early table types with a vegetation period of 75-90 days after emergence. Plants are of medium to high height, intermediate type, semi-upright, with large green leaves and very small veins. Tubers are oval-round with small eyes, yellow skin, creamy flesh. The average weight of marketable tubers is 109-135 grams, starch content varies from 12.0 to 13.2%. The taste is good, making it attractive to consumers.

The variety is characterized by high market yield, reaching 211-371 centners per hectare, which is 45-51 centners higher than the Zhukovsky Early standard. Yield at the first harvest on day 45 after emergence is 100-222 centners per hectare, and at the second harvest on day 55 — 172-297 centners per hectare, which matches or exceeds the performance of standard varieties Udaча and Carmen. Maximum yield may reach 570 centners per hectare, comparable to the best regional varieties.

Marisol exhibits high resistance to potato cancer pathogen and golden potato cyst nematode, as well as moderate susceptibility to phytophthora on foliage. Additionally, the variety is characterized by good storability (95%) and tuber marketability (84-90%). It is also resistant to common scab, which helps preserve the quality of the harvest during storage and transport. Due to these characteristics, the Marisol variety is a reliable choice for cultivation in the Northwest and Central regions.
