Zlagoda

Zlagoda — a medium-early table potato variety developed at the Institute of Potato Breeding NAAN. The tubers of this variety are large, oval-shaped, and have a pink color. The flesh is white with a starch content of 17.2%, making it suitable for various cooking methods and providing excellent taste.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 45.4 tons per hectare at the end of the vegetation period. It exhibits resistance to common diseases such as the common biotype of potato late blight and golden potato cyst nematode. Additionally, Zlagoda is resistant to alternaria and relatively resistant to stem nematode, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss.

A notable feature of this variety is its high drought tolerance, allowing successful cultivation under conditions of insufficient moisture. Due to these qualities, Zlagoda is suitable for double-cropping, particularly in southern regions of Ukraine, where climatic conditions require resilient and productive varieties.
