Gala

Gala is a high-yielding early table variety with attractive round-oval and oval-shaped tubers. Tubers are resistant to mechanical damage, thus possessing ideal suitability for packaging. The Gala variety is characterized by good flavor qualities that are retained during storage. Since tubers have small eyes and exhibit low susceptibility to black spot disease and darkening in raw form, they have ideal prerequisites for mechanical skin removal. It has good flavor qualities, predominantly firm texture after boiling (boiling type B), very low tendency to change flesh color after boiling. The Gala variety produces uniform sprouts and rapid leaf closure in rows. Leaf growth is moderate. Plants are semi-erect, medium height, leafy type. Produce a small number of white-colored flowers. Storage quality is very good. Average storage period.
