Description RED ROSE
The potato variety 'Red Rose' is a mid-early table variety of domestic breeding, characterized by high yield stability and excellent taste qualities. Tubers have an oval-round shape with smooth red skin and small eyes, and the flesh is white. The average mass of marketable tubers ranges from 58 to 96 grams, and starch content is 15.4-17%, ensuring moderate mashability and versatility in culinary use. This variety is suitable for boiling, frying, baking, and making mashed potatoes, and can also be used for industrial processing into dried potatoes.

Plants of the 'Red Rose' variety have medium height with semi-erect medium-sized leaves and red-purple flower buds. The yield of this variety ranges from 14 to 20 tons per hectare, equivalent to 142-201 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 232 centners. Tubers have high marketability — 85-98%, and storability reaches 90%, ensuring good product preservation during storage. Plants form 8 to 14 tubers, contributing to a stable and high-quality harvest.

The variety exhibits high resistance to potato blight, leaf curl virus, crinkly and striped mosaic, as well as moderate resistance to tuber and foliage late blight. However, it is susceptible to golden cyst nematode and common scab. For successful cultivation, standard agronomic practices with adequate watering and use of humus-rich soils are recommended. 'Red Rose' is particularly well-adapted to the North Caucasus region, making it popular among Russian farmers.
