Description Vektor
The potato variety Vector is a mid-early maturing variety with a maturity period of about 100–110 days, suitable for both table use and for producing french fries and chips. The plant is low-growing, semi-erect with small dark-green intermediate-type leaves. Tubers are oval-round in shape with small eyes, have red skin and light-yellow flesh. The mass of marketable tubers varies from 92 to 150 grams, and the starch content is approximately 16.7–20%, providing good taste and excellent culinary qualities, including easy boiling. The variety has high marketability — from 90 to 98%, and storability reaches 95%. The Vector variety is characterized by high yield, with average yields of 180–263 centners per hectare, and maximum yields of 403–700 centners per hectare depending on growing conditions. The number of tubers per plant is usually 14–15. The potato is resistant to a range of diseases, including potato cancer, phytophthora on stems and tubers, crinkle leaf, mosaic, and viruses X, Y, M. Additionally, the variety shows resistance to dry fusarium rot, rizoctonia, anthracnose, and drought, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions and soils. Vector does not require special growing conditions; it is adaptable to soil types and resistant to temperature fluctuations, facilitating its cultivation. High market yield and excellent taste qualities make this variety popular among farmers and consumers alike. Due to its disease resistance and high yield, Vector is a profitable and practical choice for producing potato products and fresh consumption.
