The potato variety Courage is a mid-early, high-yielding variety developed in the Netherlands in 2007. The vegetation period ranges from 80 to 115 days, with marketable harvest possible as early as 75-90 days after planting. Plants have a medium-high, upright bush with dark green leaves and red-purple flowers. Yield ranges from 15 to 45 kg per 10 m², equivalent to 159-270 centners per hectare.

The Courage variety produces medium-sized, round-oval tubers with smooth red skin and light-yellow flesh. Individual tuber weight ranges from 97 to 145 grams, with 10-15 tubers per plant. Starch content ranges from 13.0-19.9%, making this potato ideal for making chips and other dishes, including mashed potatoes. Tubers have excellent flavor, cook well, and exhibit high storability — around 91%.

The variety exhibits high resistance to high temperatures and drought, ensuring stable yields under adverse climatic conditions. Courage is also resistant to viral diseases and golden nematode, and shows moderate susceptibility to late blight. Due to its good transportability and uniform tuber size, this variety is popular among producers and consumers who value quality and reliability.
