Description RAGNEDA
Ragneda potato is a medium-late, table-type variety characterized by high yield and good storability. The plant is tall, semi-upright, with medium-sized light-green or green leaves and slightly wavy margins. Tubers are oval-round in shape, with small or medium-depth eyes, covered with smooth yellow skin, and have a delicate cream-colored flesh. The marketable tuber mass ranges from 78 to 120 grams, with starch content from 12.7 to 18.4%, ensuring excellent taste and culinary qualities.

The Ragneda variety is characterized by high marketability (83-96%) and storability (up to 97%), allowing tubers to retain quality during long-term storage. The yield of this variety reaches 187-353 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching up to 431 centners, significantly exceeding the standards of some well-known varieties. Harvesting typically occurs in mid-September, and under proper storage conditions, the potatoes maintain their taste and marketable qualities until May of the following year.

Special attention is given to the variety's resistance to diseases and pests. Ragneda exhibits high resistance to potato late blight and golden potato cyst nematode, as well as moderate resistance to phytophthora and leaf curl virus. Additionally, the variety is resistant to mosaic virus and streaked mosaic, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, including the Central and Northwest regions of Russia. Its low maintenance requirements and drought tolerance further enhance its appeal to gardeners.
