KRAZA MESHCHERY

Potato variety Krasa Mещery is a mid-season table variety with a maturation period of 80 to 100 days. The tubers of this variety are large, oval-shaped, weighing 100-110 grams, with yellow skin and light-yellow flesh. The starch content in the tubers ranges from 13.9% to 16.7%, ensuring good and excellent taste. The yield of the variety is high, at 85-88%, and storability reaches 95%, allowing the crop to maintain quality for a long time after harvest.

The plant is of medium height with a semi-upright form and large dark green leaves. The flower bud is of medium size with no or very weak anthocyanin pigmentation on the inner side. The variety is characterized by high yield, ranging from 197 to 493 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 522 centners, exceeding the yields of several standard varieties.

Krasa Mещery exhibits resistance to a number of diseases and pests, including the potato late blight pathogen and golden potato cyst nematode. The variety is moderately resistant to potato mosaic virus and resistant to potato leaf roll and potato leaf curl. It is susceptible to late blight on foliage and moderately susceptible on tubers. Thanks to these characteristics and high adaptability to climatic conditions, the variety is widely used for table purposes, frying, and also tolerates drought and climatic changes with proper care.
