Sunflower PS 519

Field Performance: PS 519 Sunflower Hybrid

When operating with the PS 519 hybrid from Ooo Aktiv Agro, the first thing you notice is its consistent performance in the field. Developed by breeders Vitaly Grigoryan and Marianna Sharygina, this sunflower is designed to deliver stable results under standard farming conditions.

Agronomic Observations

A key detail for farmers to note is the variation in plant height. Depending on soil fertility and moisture levels, the plants reach between 100 and 130 cm. While this range allows for flexibility in field selection, operators should adjust their combine headers accordingly to ensure optimal harvesting efficiency and minimal seed loss.

Field Tips and Management

• Standability: Even at its peak height of 130 cm, the stalks maintain excellent strength and resistance to lodging. This reliability is a major advantage during the final stages of the season.
• Harvesting: The black seeds are well-filled and uniform. We recommend monitoring the crop closely as it matures to hit the ideal harvest window, ensuring the best quality output.
• Maintenance: Ooo Aktiv Agro has created a straightforward product. It responds best to standard agronomic practices and timely fertilization during the head-filling stage, minimizing the need for complex intervention.

PS 519 is a practical choice for those looking for proven genetics. If you have well-leveled fields and follow a standard crop management plan, this hybrid will reward you with reliable yields and manageable operational costs.
