Lisana Potato — this is an early-maturing table variety, developed by the German breeder Ludwig Simon and introduced by the company Bavaria-SAAT GBR. Plants of this variety are characterized by medium to high height, stem type, and strong growth vigor, which contributes to rapid vegetative mass accumulation and tuber formation. Leaves are medium-sized, intermediate type, green in color, and flowers vary from medium to large with very weak or absent anthocyanic coloring on the inner side of the corolla. The root system is well-developed, forming 8 to 13 large oval tubers per plant with yellow skin and dense flesh. The Lisana variety is characterized by high yield and marketability. The vegetation period is 55-70 days, and the first full harvest can be taken as early as 40-45 days after emergence. Yield varies from 123 to 249 centners per hectare, which is 41-48 centners higher than standard varieties such as Queen Anna and Aroza. Maximum yield reaches 299 centners per hectare. The weight of one marketable tuber ranges from 106 to 139 grams, starch content is 15.6%. Marketability reaches 81-90%, and storability is 95%, ensuring good storage and preservation of the product. Lisana potato exhibits high resistance to a number of diseases and pests, including potato cancer and golden potato cyst nematode, as well as resistance to potato crinkle and mosaic. The variety is drought-tolerant and easy to grow, making it versatile for various conditions. Thanks to its excellent taste qualities and high market value, Lisana is popular among potato growers and suitable for a wide range of culinary uses.
