The hybrid corn DMS Sapphire is a high-yielding mid-early variety with FAO 290, adapted to various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Steppes, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. Plants reach a height of approximately 230 cm, with ear attachment at 85–97 cm and contain 12–14 rows of dent corn. This hybrid features balanced grain maturity with a "dry leaf" type, facilitating harvest and ensuring high-quality raw material.
Sapphire exhibits high drought and heat tolerance, ensuring stable yields even under dry climatic conditions. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates cold tolerance, allowing sowing at low soil temperatures from 9 to 10°C. The plant is resistant to major diseases and pests, reducing risk of losses and maintaining high yield potential up to 15.5 tons per hectare under optimal conditions.
Recommended planting rates vary by region: 45–50 thousand plants per hectare in Steppes, 60–70 thousand in Forest-Steppe, and 70–80 thousand in Polissia. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation on various soil types and climatic conditions, making it a versatile choice for agricultural enterprises aiming for maximum productivity and resilience to stress factors.
