PrimaBell potato is an early-maturing table variety characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions. The plant is low to medium height, bushy, with large green leaves and a large flower cluster, which lacks or has very weak anthocyanin coloring on the inner side. Tubers are oval-shaped with small eyes, have yellow skin and light-yellow flesh. The average weight of marketable tubers ranges from 96 to 135 grams, and starch content is about 12-13%, corresponding to culinary type A, where tubers do not break down during cooking and retain their shape.
The variety has high marketability (about 88%) and excellent storability (96%), ensuring long-term storage without quality loss. The taste of tubers is rated as good to excellent, making PrimaBell versatile in culinary use. Yield varies from 207 to 392 centners per hectare, with maximum values reaching 420 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding standards of several well-known varieties. The first harvest can be obtained as early as 45 days after emergence, and the second — on day 55, enabling early harvest.
PrimaBell is resistant to a range of diseases and pests, including potato late blight pathogen and golden potato cyst nematode. The variety also shows resistance to leaf curl, enhancing its adaptability and reducing yield losses. Recommended for cultivation in southern and central climates, with pre-sprouting tubers and planting in warmed soil to achieve maximum productivity.
