Description PILAS
Potato 'Pila' (Peela) is a medium-late table variety of German selection, characterized by oval-round tubers with yellow skin and dark-yellow flesh. The plant is of medium height with semi-erect leaves of medium and large size, light green to green tint. The flower of the plant is of medium size, with absent or very weak anthocyanic coloring on the inner side.

The ripening period of the variety is 95-110 days. Tubers have a mass from 102 to 161 grams, and the number of tubers per plant varies from 7 to 11. Starch content ranges from 15.1-19.1%, providing good and excellent taste, as well as culinary type CD, suitable for boiling, baking, and making mashed potatoes. Tubers have a marketability of 85-91%, and storability of 95%, indicating high quality and long storage life.

The yield of the 'Pila' variety is 190-251 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 391 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standard. The variety is resistant to potato virus and golden potato cyst nematode, enhancing its reliability for cultivation. Preferred cultivation regions are the Central Volga region.
