Gloria potato is an early-maturing table variety with red skin and light-yellow flesh. The tubers are oval-shaped with small eyes, weighing from 80 to 130 grams, and have a good to excellent flavor. Starch content in the tubers ranges from 13.9% to 15.6%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes. The tubers have high storability — about 97% — ensuring long-term storage without quality loss.
Gloria plants are medium-height, upright, with dark green leaves and weak to moderate anthocyanin pigmentation on the inner petal surface. The yield of this variety ranges from 247 to 417 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 588 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standards of some well-known varieties. The first harvest is possible as early as the 45th day after emergence, and the second — on the 55th day, enabling early harvests.
This variety exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer, golden potato cyst nematode, crinkle and striped mosaic, and is moderately resistant to phytophthora. Due to its adaptability to growing conditions and agronomic practices, Gloria is successfully cultivated in various regions of Russia, as well as in Ukraine and Moldova. This variety is an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain an early, high-quality, and disease-resistant potato harvest.
