The variety is resistant to potato cyst nematode and has moderate resistance to皱叶病毒和条斑病毒. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. Preferred growing regions are central areas of Russia. Due to its combination of high yield, excellent taste, and resistance to major diseases, Lionheart potato is an attractive choice for agricultural production and home cultivation.
