The potato variety RICARDA is a medium-early table type with high to very high, semi-upright stem vegetation. The leaves are of medium size, light green to green in color, and the flower cluster varies from small to medium size with intense anthocyanin coloring on the inner side. Tubers are oval-shaped with medium-depth eyes, covered with red skin, and have white flesh. The marketable tuber mass ranges from 103 to 147 grams, with starch content between 14.7–15.4%, ensuring good taste and high marketability.
The yield of the RICARDA variety is 198–367 centners per hectare, meeting the Chayka standard and exceeding the Skarb standard by 99 centners. Maximum yield can reach 444 centners per hectare, significantly higher than the Aurora standard in the Sverdlovsk region. Tuber marketability is 82–96%, and storability reaches 92%, indicating good storage quality.
The variety exhibits high resistance to several diseases and pests, including potato cancer pathogen, golden potato cyst nematode, crinkle and mosaic virus, and leaf curl virus. Thanks to these qualities and balanced agronomic characteristics, RICARDA is a reliable choice for cultivation, providing a stable and high-quality harvest with excellent taste.
