Potato variety Desnitsya is a medium-early table variety of Russian selection with a maturation period of 65 to 80 days. Plants are semi-spreading, medium height, with large light-green leaves and numerous stems. Tubers are round, light-yellow in color, with skin ranging from smooth to slightly netted, and have slightly depressed stem scars. Eyes are numerous, small, and shallow, flesh is light-yellow. Marketable tuber mass varies from 62 to 128 grams, and number of tubers per plant is 8–12.

The variety is characterized by high market yield, ranging from 159 to 282 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 328 centners, exceeding the yields of some standard varieties. Starch content in tubers is 14.6–20.5%, ensuring good taste and versatility in cooking. Potato is suitable for making mashed potatoes, baking, and can be used for chip production. Tubers have high storability — 91–95% — ensuring long-term storage without quality loss.

Desnitsya shows resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer and golden cyst nematode, and is moderately resistant to late blight of foliage and tubers, as well as viral and bacterial infections. These characteristics make the variety reliable and promising for cultivation in various regions. Overall, Desnitsya combines high yield, good consumer qualities, and disease resistance, making it an attractive choice for farmers and potato enthusiasts.
