Potato Musinski is a medium-late Russian table variety with a maturity period of 95 to 110 days. Tubers have an oval-round shape with medium-depth eyes, partially red skin, and light-yellow flesh. The average weight of marketable tubers is 72-80 grams, and the number of tubers per plant ranges from 7 to 10. Starch content is 16.8-19.0%, providing excellent taste and versatility in cooking: suitable for boiling, baking, and making mashed potatoes.
Plants of the Musinski variety have medium to high growth, semi-erect stems, and medium-sized green leaves with a closed shape. The flower bud is medium-sized with anthocyanic coloring on the inner side, ranging from weak to moderate intensity. Yield ranges from 145 to 255 centners per hectare, which is 30 centners higher than the standard variety Arsenal, with a maximum yield of 320 centners per hectare.
The variety is characterized by high tuber storability — up to 95% — ensuring long-term storage without quality loss. Musinski is resistant to late blight of foliage and tubers, leaf curl virus, and potato scab (pathotype I). However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. Due to its characteristics and resistance to major diseases, this variety is a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions.
