Description LADY LENORA
Lady Lenora potato is an early-maturing table variety of Dutch origin, suitable for both fresh consumption and chip production. Plants of this variety have medium to high stature, leaf type with semi-erect or spreading form. Leaves are large, ranging from intermediate to open type, colored green or dark green. The flower cluster varies from medium to large size, and the intensity of anthocyanin pigmentation on the inner leaf surface is moderate. Tubers are oval-round with small or moderately deep eyes, covered with yellow skin, and flesh is white.

The vegetation period of this variety is 60-70 days, with the first harvest possible as early as the 45th day after emergence. Marketable tuber mass ranges from 76 to 134 grams, and tuber number per plant reaches 9-12 pieces. Lady Lenora’s yield ranges from 251-283 centners per hectare, with a maximum potential of up to 289 centners per hectare. Tubers’ marketability is 72-94%, and storability is 94%, ensuring good storage and product quality retention. Starch content in tubers is 15.0-18.6%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes, including boiling, baking, and mashing.

The variety is characterized by good taste and resistance to several diseases. Lady Lenora is resistant to potato blight, has moderate susceptibility to late blight of foliage and tubers, and is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. Due to its characteristics and high yield, this variety is recommended for cultivation in central regions, where it demonstrates stable performance and high product quality.
