S 117 M is a mid-season sunflower hybrid with a vegetation period of 112 to 117 days. The plant features a strong and branched root system capable of extracting moisture from depths up to 3 meters, ensuring its adaptation to various soil types and climatic conditions. Plant height reaches up to 175 cm, and the flower head diameter can reach up to 25 cm. The flower head is fully filled with seeds, has a thin and convex shape, which contributes to high-quality yields. The recommended planting density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare. Hybrid S 117 M exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, false powdery mildew, white and gray mold, as well as four strains of Sclerotinia and Phomopsis. Seeds are treated with thiram and metalaxyl-M for additional protection. The cultivation technology includes the use of the herbicide Granstar, which facilitates weed control. The hybrid demonstrates high oil content — up to 55%, and potential yield reaches 55-59 centners per hectare, especially on fertile soils of the forest-steppe and Polissia regions. S 117 M is an intensive hybrid that performs best on fertile soils, ensuring stable and high yields. Due to its adaptability and disease resistance, it is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. Seeds of this hybrid are supplied in planting units of 150,000 units, sufficient for sowing 2.2-2.5 hectares. This hybrid will be a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a high-quality and productive sunflower.
