Reggi

The Reggi potato variety is an early-maturing table variety with a maturation period of 65-75 days, allowing the first harvest to be conducted as early as day 45 after emergence of sprouts. The plant is of medium height, intermediate type with semi-erect form. Tubers are elongated-oval with small eyes, yellow skin, and light-yellow flesh. Marketable tuber mass ranges from 90 to 164 grams, and starch content is 14.8-18.8%, making this variety suitable for various cooking methods including frying, boiling, baking, and making mashed potatoes.

The yield of the Reggi variety ranges from 168 to 393 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching up to 415 centners, meeting the standard 'Udacha' and exceeding the standard 'Pushkinets'. The tuber marketability is high — from 77 to 95%, and storability reaches 98%, ensuring good storage and minimal losses during storage. The taste of the potato is rated as good to excellent, making it attractive to consumers.

The variety exhibits resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer (pathotype I), crinkly mosaic, and leaf curl. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode and moderately susceptible to late blight of foliage and tubers. These characteristics make Reggi a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, ensuring stable yields and high product quality.
