Voivodjanka

Voivodjanka pepper is a classic sweet wax-type variety developed by Hungarian gardeners in the 16th century. Plants are compact, reaching up to 60-80 cm in height, with well-developed root systems and lush foliage. Fruits have a smooth conical or cuboid shape, measuring 15 to 25 cm in length and weighing 90 to 150 g. Immature fruits are light green or ivory-colored, turning into a vibrant red-orange or yellow hue upon ripening. Wall thickness is 6-9 mm, providing dense, juicy flesh with a delicate waxy skin layer.

This variety is known for its early maturity and versatility, suitable for both open-field and greenhouse cultivation. Ripening time varies from 65 to 100 days depending on conditions, allowing harvest throughout summer. Voivodjanka exhibits high resistance to adverse climatic conditions and common diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, enhancing crop reliability and stability.
