Sweet pepper variety 'Golden Handle' belongs to mid-season varieties with a vegetation period from germination to technical maturity of 115-125 days and to biological maturity of 150-160 days. The plant is medium-height, densely foliated, reaching a height of 45-55 centimeters. Fruits have a gogo-shar type — flat-round, large, slightly ribbed, weighing 180-220 grams. In the technical maturity phase, fruits are dark green, and at biological maturity, they acquire a yellow-orange hue. Wall thickness is 8.5-10 millimeters, ensuring juiciness and flesh density. The flesh of 'Golden Handle' pepper is characterized by high dry matter content (8.1-8.9%), sugars (3.6-16%) and ascorbic acid (163-198 mg%), which gives the fruits excellent taste qualities. The variety is distinguished by strong growth and a well-developed root system, as well as resistance to verticillium wilt. Due to these characteristics, the pepper is successfully grown for fresh consumption, processing, and preservation. Fruits have an attractive appearance and high transportability, making the variety popular among producers and consumers. 'Golden Handle' pepper is grown from seedlings, whose age depends on the intended use of the product: for processing, seedlings aged 25-45 days are recommended. Planting scheme varies depending on the irrigation method: under sprinkler irrigation, optimal density is 60x20 centimeters, under drip irrigation — 90+50x20-25 or 120+40x28 centimeters. Yield of the variety is 40-70 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity and adaptability to various growing conditions.
