Helios pepper is an early-maturing variety with a period from full emergence to technical ripeness of 110-120 days, and to biological ripeness — 140-150 days. The plant is low-growing and compact, reaching a height of 30-40 centimeters. The fruits have a round, ratan-type (gogo-shari) shape, smooth, slightly ribbed, with a medium weight of 100-150 grams. In the technical ripeness phase, they are light green, and at biological ripeness, they turn yellow. The fruit wall thickness is 6-8 millimeters, ensuring good fleshiness and an attractive appearance.
The Helios variety is characterized by high marketability and yield, reaching 40-70 tons per hectare. Cultivation is done through seedlings, with the seedling age varying depending on the intended use of the product: for processing, seedlings aged 25-45 days are recommended. The planting scheme depends on the irrigation method: under sprinkler irrigation, the optimal distance between plants is 60-70 by 15-20 centimeters, and under drip irrigation — 90+50 by 20-25 centimeters.
Helios pepper fruits are versatile — they are used both fresh and for canning. Additionally, the variety shows resistance to Verticillium wilt, enhancing the reliability and stability of the harvest. Due to its characteristics, Helios is an excellent choice for farmers seeking high-quality, high-yield sweet pepper.
