Description

The early-maturing hybrid sweet pepper 'Turmalin F1' ripens in 70-75 days from transplanting to biological maturity. The fruits are cube-shaped with 3-4 chambers, weighing 150-210 grams and having wall thickness of 7-8 mm. In technical maturity, the fruits are light olive-colored, and in biological maturity — bright yellow. This variety is characterized by high yield and is suitable for cultivation both in plastic greenhouses and in open ground. The 'Turmalin F1' plant is determinate, robust, with a strong stem and dense foliage, providing good protection for fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as fusarium and verticillium, and it has tolerance to tobacco mosaic and similar diseases. For successful cultivation, pepper requires a warm climate and regular watering; drip irrigation is recommended in greenhouse conditions. 'Turmalin' pepper has high requirements for soil conditions. It is recommended to plant it after annual and perennial grasses, winter wheat, legumes, cucurbits, onions, various cabbage varieties, and cucumbers. Cultivation is not allowed on sites where plants from the nightshade family, such as pepper, eggplant, and tomato, have previously grown. To reduce the risk of disease and pest accumulation, pepper should not be replanted on the same site for at least 3-4 years.
