SILVER STAR

Sweet pepper Silver Star F1 is a medium-maturing hybrid developed by the South Korean breeding company Nong Woo Bio. It is a determinate plant, compact and well-leafed, characterized by high stress resistance and cold tolerance, allowing cultivation both in open fields and in greenhouses or under temporary covers. The bushes are low and sturdy, do not break under strong winds, and dense leaf cover protects fruits from sunburn and spots. The hybrid is resistant to wilting and tobacco mosaic virus, ensuring stable yield.

Fruits of the Silver Star pepper have a cube-shaped or elongated-cube shape, reaching 9-10 cm in length and 7-8 cm in width, with wall thickness of 8-10 mm. The average fruit weight is 140-160 grams. In technical maturity, the fruits are yellow-green or light-yellow, and in biological maturity, they turn into deep yellow or red. The flesh is juicy, crisp and moderately sweet, making them attractive for fresh consumption and culinary processing. The pepper retains its market appearance and nutritional properties during storage and transport.

The Silver Star F1 hybrid is characterized by high yield, forming 5-6 to 10 fruits per plant. Due to its ability to set fruit even at low temperatures, it can be planted early in spring in open ground, expanding the cultivation period. The pepper is widely used in cooking for salads, roasting with meat and fish, stuffing, pickling, and first courses. This hybrid possesses all the necessary characteristics, making it competitive and promising for cultivation on the fresh market.
