BULGARIAN WONDER

Sweet pepper variety "California Wonder" is a mid-season, time-tested variety popular among gardeners due to its high yield and ease of cultivation. The plant forms a compact, low-growing bush, 65 to 95 cm tall, with a strong, thick stem and abundant foliage. This variety is particularly stress-tolerant, capable of withstanding low temperatures, insufficient light, and resistant to tobacco mosaic virus and verticillium wilt, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The peppers have a cube-like shape with four distinct sides, weighing 80 to 150 g, with flesh thickness of 8 to 12 mm. In technical maturity, they are dark green, and upon biological maturity, they turn into rich red, juicy, and sweet fruits. Fruit size reaches 9–11 cm in length and 8–9 cm in diameter, with 3–4 chambers inside. The thick-walled flesh makes this variety especially attractive for fresh consumption, as well as for various forms of thermal processing, canning, and freezing.

The "California Wonder" variety is ideal for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses or polytunnels. It prefers loose, loamy soils and moderate regular watering, yet demonstrates high adaptability and plasticity to various agronomic conditions. With proper care, yield reaches 1.9–3 kg per square meter, and the fruits are well-transported and retain their market appearance and flavor even after long-term storage.
