The SOYUZ F1 hybrid sweet pepper is an early-maturing variety intended for cultivation both in open ground and under protective cover. From the time of mass germination to full fruit maturity, it takes approximately 110-120 days. The plants are of medium growth, spreading, reaching a height of 100-120 cm and abundantly covered with fruit. The fruits are conical in shape, medium size, with a smooth and glossy surface, weighing up to 150 g, measuring 12-14 cm in length and 7-8 mm in wall thickness. In technical maturity, they are milky-white, and in biological maturity, they turn into a rich red color. The pepper is distinguished by high flavor qualities, sweetness, and aroma, making it an excellent choice for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and stuffing. The variety is highly resistant to diseases, particularly Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) and Potato Virus Y (PVY), and it is tolerant to high temperatures. This allows successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the moderate climate of Ukraine. The pepper prefers warm conditions and a daylight duration of more than eight hours, which promotes earlier fruiting. For maximum yield, it is recommended to grow it under greenhouse conditions, although it adapts well to open beds. For sowing, only germinated seeds should be used, which germinate at 25-28°C within approximately 15 days. The optimal planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter. Yield in open ground reaches about 7 kg per square meter, while in protected ground — over 10 kg. Due to its high sugar content and beneficial compounds, the SOYUZ pepper is widely used in cooking, added to various dishes, making it a versatile and popular variety for both home and commercial cultivation.
