Cabbage Nasedka

Growing insights: Nasedka cabbage

For growers targeting the fresh market, the balance between maturation timing and marketable head size is vital. The Nasedka cabbage variety from Evro-Semena is a reliable choice for farmers who prioritize consistent yield quality and compact, marketable produce.

Key performance indicators

• Maturation period: 60–70 days from transplanting. This allows for a predictable harvest window, essential for effective market planning.
• Head specifications: The heads are compact and rounded, consistently weighing between 1.0 and 1.5 kg. This specific weight range is currently in high demand for retail sale as it represents a perfect single-meal portion.
• Market appeal: The compact, uniform shape of the heads makes handling and shipping significantly more efficient.

Operational notes

From an operator's perspective, Nasedka is a straightforward crop to manage. The high uniformity of the harvest simplifies the sorting process, reducing labor costs during harvest. Since this variety is specifically intended for fresh consumption rather than long-term storage, it is best suited for quick turnover cycles. In the field, the plants respond well to standard maintenance, irrigation, and fertilization practices. Because the heads reach their target weight without becoming oversized, they maintain a tight structure that is resistant to minor mechanical handling during transport. If your goal is to supply the market with uniform, fresh heads early in the season, this variety offers a reliable and manageable production cycle.
