Vesta cabbage (Vestri F1) is a medium-late hybrid of white cabbage intended for open-field cultivation during the spring-summer and summer-autumn periods. The maturity period ranges from 85 to 100 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. Heads have a round-flat shape, are dense, with a gray-green color and a waxy coating, with fruit mass varying from 4 to 8 kilograms, ensuring a high yield of marketable produce up to 95%. The stalk is short, inner leaves are thin, making the cabbage convenient for processing and fresh consumption. The Vesta hybrid is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as fusarium and bacteriosis, as well as tolerance to thrips damage. This significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and improves product quality. The cabbage is well-preserved in field conditions and has excellent transportability, making it in demand both for direct consumption and processing, especially for pickling. It is recommended to store fruits for up to 4 months, allowing for use over an extended period. To obtain maximum yield, it is recommended to maintain a planting density of 30,000-35,000 plants per hectare with a row spacing of 60x60 cm, as well as ensure systematic hoeing and watering. Cultivation in film greenhouses is possible for obtaining an earlier harvest. Seed packaging is calculated for 2,500 pieces, which is convenient for planning sowing work. Vesta cabbage combines high yield, disease resistance, and excellent taste qualities, making it an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners.
